By road: M4 to Junction 28. Follow the signs for the Forest Drive along the A467 to
Cwmcarn, then continue on the A467 towards Brynmawr. At Abercarn, turn right to
Llanfach on the B4591. You come immediately to a T junction, where you turn left. Then
continue on this road through Abercarn. SAT NAV USERS, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE
DIRECTIONS FROM HERE! After passing through Abercarn and out the other side, turn
right up Cemetery Road . Continue up the steep, winding hill until you reach a T junction
with Twyn Road at the very top. No. 1, Penrhiwgwair Cottage is the house on the corner of
this junction, to your right. Park in the layby opposite or drive in.
