Awen Vegetarian Dining
At Awen we believe in minimising the distance food travels to reach your plate, so we
aim to use seasonal ingredients grown as close to home as possible. We have
produced a mouth-watering menu for each of the 4 seasons (see below). We are
happy to modify any of the dishes to suit  vegans and people other special dietary
requirements.

One set of menu choices will be served per meal, to be decided by the first diner who
makes their selection.
Please note: minimum 24 hours' notice is required as all food is
freshly bought and prepared

Awen Spring Menu 2008
3 course meal, £20 per head
2 courses, £15 per head
1 course hearty filler meal, £10 per head

Ingredients are freshly prepared, organic and fairly traded wherever possible

Starters (all served with fresh home-baked bread)
Mushroom and wild garlic pate
Purple sprouting broccoli soup with optional blue cheese
Asparagus and sundried tomato risotto
Mushroom and almond croustade

Main courses (all with seasonal vegetables)
Tomato feta tart with basil
Tofu and avocado tortillas, with optional chilli to taste
Mouthwatering Awen mushroom squares with onion gravy
Spicy lentil dhal with roasted garlic

Desserts
Chocolate truffles with organic spiced ice cream
Treacle tart
Rhubarb or apple (subject to availability!) crumble with cream
Creamy apple and fig fool
